Yaqiz Privacy Policy (Draft)
Draft version: 28 September 2026, pending legal review and not yet in effect.
Who we are
Yaqiz International FZCO, registered in the IFZA free zone, United Arab Emirates. For any question about this policy or how we handle your personal data, contact us at hello@yaqiz.com.
Scope
This policy covers yaqiz.com, the CEO and scout dashboards, and the vendor contract audit and renegotiation service (together, the "Service"). It applies to clients, prospective clients, Scouts, Negotiation Specialists, and visitors to our website. It does not cover the privacy practices of third-party vendors or websites we link to.
What we collect
- Account and contact data: full name, work email, phone number, job title, company name, and company registration details, from clients, Scouts, and Negotiation Specialists during onboarding.
- Vendor contract data: the vendor contracts, invoices, amendment history, renewal notices, and pricing terms clients submit for audit and renegotiation, which may include personal data of a vendor's own staff (see "Third-party data" below).
- Communications: emails, call notes, and support messages exchanged with our team.
- Usage data: IP address, browser and device type, pages visited, and session activity on yaqiz.com and the dashboards, collected through cookies and analytics tools such as Google Analytics or a comparable provider.
- Payment data: transaction amount, billing details, and payment method type, processed by our third-party payment processor. We do not store full card numbers ourselves.
How we use it
We use personal data to:
- Deliver the Service: run vendor contract audits, conduct negotiations, and operate the CEO and scout dashboards
- Calculate and pay Scout and Negotiation Specialist commissions
- Communicate with clients, Scouts, and Negotiation Specialists about their accounts and engagements
- Invoice clients and process payments
- Maintain the security of our systems and prevent fraud
- Improve the Service based on usage patterns
- Meet our legal, tax, and accounting obligations
We do not use automated decision-making or profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects on you.
Legal basis
We process personal data under the UAE Personal Data Protection Law and other data protection law that applies to a given client, relying on:
- Performance of a contract: to deliver the Service to clients, Scouts, and Negotiation Specialists
- Legitimate interest: for security, fraud prevention, and improving the Service
- Consent: for optional cookies and marketing communications, which you can withdraw at any time
- Legal obligation: for tax, accounting, and other statutory record-keeping
Who we share it with
- Vendors, as necessary to conduct a negotiation on a client's behalf.
- Negotiation Specialists and Scouts, as contractors bound by confidentiality obligations.
- Service providers, including our cloud hosting and database providers (for example, Vercel and Supabase), analytics providers, and payment processor, under appropriate data protection terms.
- Professional advisors, such as our lawyers and accountants, bound by confidentiality.
- Government or regulatory authorities, where required by law.
- A successor entity, if Yaqiz is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to the same protections in this policy.
- We do not sell personal data.
International transfers
Data may be processed outside the UAE by our hosting, database, and infrastructure providers. Where we transfer personal data internationally, we use providers that apply appropriate contractual or technical safeguards to protect it.
Third-party data in vendor contracts
Vendor contracts clients submit may contain personal data of the vendor's own contacts, such as names, emails, and phone numbers. Clients are responsible for having a lawful basis to share that data with us. We process it solely to perform the Service, and do not use it for any other purpose.
Retention
We retain personal data only as long as needed for the purpose it was collected:
- Client account and vendor contract data: for the duration of the engagement, and up to 6 years after it ends, to meet UAE commercial and tax record-keeping requirements
- Scout and Negotiation Specialist records: for the duration of their engagement, and up to 6 years after it ends
- Website usage and analytics data: up to 26 months
- Marketing communications: until you unsubscribe or ask us to stop
After these periods, we delete or anonymize the data, unless a longer period is required by law.
Security
We protect personal data with measures including encryption of data in transit, access controls that limit who can view client and vendor data, confidentiality obligations on staff and contractors, and regular review of our third-party providers' security practices. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. If we become aware of a data breach affecting your personal data, we will notify affected individuals and any relevant authority as required by law.
Your rights
Subject to applicable law, you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Correct inaccurate or incomplete data
- Request deletion of your data
- Object to, or request that we restrict, certain processing
- Request a copy of your data in a portable format
